"30Even youths grow tired and weary,

and young men stumble and fall;
31but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and now grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

A trip to karambunai....youth's activity predominantly lol

Its Tuesday morning when the clock's hand struck 7.30am. The alarm clock started its bout of fit to wake up Mr sleepy head as well as other youth members,sunday school chidlren, aunties and uncles as well as middle aged uncles. Its a day that has yet to turn reality from a simple planning for a get-together-youth-and-kids picnic in Karambunai's lagoon parkfame for its turqoise green estuary sandy bank with volcanic-like mud settling deep below the vicinity of the mangrove roots which made itself unique for the promotion of tourism. =D

Arriving to meet at church are the youths who needed transport where uncle HonKen who will once again be our priviledged driver.As we're on our way to Karambunai petty chatters and giggles from among the younger youths chuckled as the older youths make their witty expression. An hour passed and we arrived at our destination which is a tad bit deserted for a public holiday. Perhaps its because the sun is still way below north east of the semidiameter circuit where it rises and sets - or perhaps; its fasting month :D The few guys including me lunge and head to the sandy banks around the jetty upon reaching as if we've never touched sea water for almost half a century; but its all good to soak in and play with a kid's rubber ball and get our trousers wet at 1st, lifting our shirts and walk across the bank from the west side of the lagoon to the east side where the main entrance is. To our bewilderment, Samuel Junior found a chicken egg floating amidst the untouched morning waters. To add to our fascination, We discovered that theres a chick-like mass inside the shell when we shook it.Whoa, that period of time that egg has become our main attraction until the girls arrived and share our pleasures from waiting it to be cracked. Hehe. Sam buried it just at the edge of the bank with a coconut branch as a mark as we head for our singing and praising with auntie Priscilla leading.

After that auntie Aileng lead us to 3 games. The winning team with a green coloured band tied around the wrist redeemed their prizes and shared.After that we went back to search forour egg where we've burried but one of the cleaner from Karambunai took away our mark.So we have to dig and find. Seemed hopeless for us almost 10 youths hunting for it until Travis stepped on it and dug it out. We chosed and see who'd be the one to crack it.So wenyiing lost and she did the cracking. There our amazement was satiated when its only a normal egg with a yolk in it lol.It was burried back again.

Later around 11am all of us took the kayak boats and rowed across the 300metres wide estuary to the other end of the river bank and screamed, cajoled, had mud war,dived,swam,floated, and overturned the kayaks of the late arrivals including myself. It was a heaven of a fun to kayak across that deep estuary and waiting for "a guy and a girl" to reach as they were having good young time dating in the kayak :D .Across the deserted land where no civilisation can be seen, pure crystal clear water with the occasional splash from the estuary water and breeze make that place a perfect get away from civilisation. A perfect time for reflection of our lifes and how wonderful and marvelous is our God's creation. I wander out towards the backside of the estuary-filled mangrove in search of a fascination, or perhaps, a mystery witnessor. Or just to satisfy my curiosity of what may not have been known.
After a fruitless wander with only mangrove roots and rubbles underneath the riverbed,i head back to my kayak. The rest have started rowing back. And finally we've reached shore where other civilians are.

Then we took turns and go on the banana boat ride where the aunties and kids and uncles went first. The last group of us youth which includes Adrian,TanyaWenyii,Wenyiing,Aaron,Samuel,Ivan,Amy,Jeremy and myself went for a ride.We planned during the middle of the ride and we succeeded capsizing ourselves by turning the opposite direction whenever the speedboat turns.All of us fell into the estuary just in the middle of Tj badak near Rasa Ria. We then shouted and laughed as we swam back towards the banana boat where uncle KiokWat, Auntie Phoon and the a few aunties were inside the speedboat giggling and lending a hand. All of us got up on the boat again except Adrian who drifted further and further away from the boat lol. He seemed to fought a struggle and we still teased him. ;P ...at last the speedboat have to drive near him to "save" him:D. So we rode back and planned another self-capsizing plan upon nearing the jetty. "any moment now guys, we turn to the left ah,coz the rope is at the right." shouted Ivan."yea, to the left, dont turn 1st, later cant swim back." shouted myself."hahaha weeeeeeee" cajoled Tanya followed by laughters from the rest.So we overturned the boat once again and uncles and aunties saw how we capsized.And this time we swam back to shore knowing the skipper left us alone. :D It was an exhaustive yet exhilirated moment out there.

We took a shower and dried up ourselves and prepare for lunch. We had take-away Tuaran mee in polystyrene boxes and watermelon. We were like stray cats that hadnt been fed for a week the way we gulp down our food. :D After a satiated meal, me, Sam, Ivan and later joined Wenyi lay on each of our bench for a sunbathing session with tanning oils of spf 4 smother across our already pre-burned skin. It was a rejuvenating laze.The rest stayed inside the shade to protect their youthful skin. By that time its almost 2pm and we're in almost in our drift to dreamland. Until uncle Su Kiong says: "times up guys, time to go home and uncle HonKEn is waiting...." coupled with an ever warming glee of his.So we packed our things and changed and drag ourselves to the van with a worked,exercised,feeling good, knock out(by Jeremy),and fun filled body of ours. And we called it a dayof "youthful" activity as we head back to our respective home to get a rest to rekindle the mind and overused body of ours ;)
