ONE LIFE!!

hey guys, i was at church just now n throughout the whole sermon time, i was thinking about the youths. not that i wasnt concentrating like wat justin said, haha it just reminded me so much about the youths..also for myself.

as u can see, the title is "one life". we only have one life to live. but the question is "what are you gonna do with it?" what are u using ur life for? what motivates you? what inspires you?..is it God or the things of the world??

sermon relates itself to 2 Timothy 4 : 7

1) i have fought the good fight.
-paul said that he had fought the good fight.that means there are fights that are not worth fighting. if you're fighting for something that'll only give you temporary results or values, then u know for sure that's not the fight that's worth fighting for. fight for smth that has eternal values!! so learn to pick the right fight.

friends, i know the youths itself are facing many challenges n problems but who doesnt? God didnt promise us a life with Him tat is carefree n no problems. in fact it is thru all those challenges that He moulds us n make us more strong in Him. if just because of one small thing n the thot of giving up comes in...is it worth it? is it fair for God? He has never given up on us tho it required Him to give up Jesus. wat more can we compare that with? NOTHING!!

2) Daniel 3 : 24-25
- Daniel's friends experienced God in such a powerful way because they refused to succumb to the demands of this world.

guys, if we let the situation n circumstances around us win us, win our hearts n make who we are then we've actually let the devil win hands down!! he doesnt want us to be strong. he doesnt want us to remain firm in faith. so dun ever think of giving in to problems or so. when life is getting tougher, that is when u're gonna go a step further from the devil IF you choose to surrender it all to God, fully rely on Him n continue to trust in Him in every single thing that comes in your way.

3) i have finished the race
-it is very interesting to note that Paul sees this life as a race and it is not a sprint but a marathon!! our walk with God is meant to be a long run. we wana live a life in God's way but when God changes the direction of our lives, it is always n definitely better. we dont know wat are His plans for us but rest assured, our destiny is already decided!! run the race with Him and you'll see wat lies ahead of u. to win a sprint, we need nerves, but to win a marathon, we need stamina. our heart is where we keep our stamina!!

guys, the stamina lies in our heart. its like how strong is our faith in Christ. how much we trust in Him leading us thru all the hard times without forgetting the good n great thing He has done in our lives. we ought to keep a good attiture and a sweet spirit. always keep your heart moist but not hard. have ur heart like a sponge and not a rock. a sponge can always absorb n also give out as well. u can absorb wat God is putting in ur life and share it with others to touch n bless others around you with wat God has done in u.

- proverbs 4 : 23
we want a form of godliness together with God's power. dont let unforgiveness steal ur destiny in God. protect ur heart. dont let discouragement or disappointment steal ur heart, love or faith.

4) i have kept the faith
- this i believe is more important than all our achievements and ideals of life-that until the very last moment, we are stil faithful and faith-filled.

2 corinthians 11 : 24-25, 28
- choose to remain faithful
-choose to remain fervent
-choose to pray
-choose to read the bible
-choose to come to church
-choose to put God first
-choose to find a Godly partner
-choose to be disciple

its reli about how you live your life.you have one life, will you live it to God?
